Infant Welfare Society of Evanston Hat Tea Event Description:
|
The Sunday before Mother’s Day, join us for a Teddy Bear
Tea. Share a lovely afternoon with the important women and girls in your life and help provide care and comfort to our
community’s young children.
This year, your teddy bear, baby doll or fuzzy friend is invited to the party! The Hat Tea will include fun activity
stations for children and their special friend such as hat decorating, a teddy bear tea party, pint sized clothing
boutique, and story time. For children and adults there will be a makeover station presented by Red 7, a Silent Auction
and more! With opportunities to donate toys to children in need, the Hat Tea is a wonderful way for families to pass
down values of charity and community to their children.
The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston is a 97-year-old nonprofit social service organization providing full-day child
care, early intervention services, and free parenting support and education to families living in Evanston and the
surrounding areas. By providing the earliest interventions to families most in need, IWSE works to prevent child abuse
and neglect, and to ensure that all of Evanston’s children enter kindergarten ready to learn and thrive.
Tickets to the event are $40 per person and $70 for an adult-child pair with pre-registration, or $45 per person and $80
per adult-child pair at the door. Named and reserved tables for eight can be purchased for $500. Online registration is
available at www.iwse.org. For more information call or e-mail Sarah Valle at (847) 491-9650 or
sarahvalle@iwse.org.
All proceeds from the event will help IWSE nurture the healthy growth and development of our community’s young children.
