Warm Your Palate Press Release

The Infant Welfare Society of Evanston (IWSE) held its 4th annual fundraising event, Warm Your Palate, on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Now We’re Cookin’ in Evanston, IL. Brightly colored spring flowers, warm hospitality and the aromas of delicious food welcomed over 120 guests to this much anticipated evening. This event raised more than $40,000 to support IWSE’s programs providing high-quality early childhood education and family support services for teen parents and low-income families with young children in the city of Evanston and the surrounding communities.

Jay Lytle, retired co-founder of First Bank & Trust and former Evanston mayor was honored for his many years of dedication and commitment to improving the quality of life for the children and families of Evanston.

We are grateful to our participating chefs for their generosity and creative food offerings. Participating chefs included D’Andre Carter and Heather Bublick of Feast and Imbibe; Greg Carter, Ten Mile House; Vince di Battista, Campagnola and Union Pizzeria; Armando Gonzalez of Libertad; Brian Huston, Boltwood; Eric Mansavage, Farmhouse Chicago; and KOI Fine Asian Cuisine. Desserts included luscious gelato from Frio Gelato and cookies from Misericordia Hearts and Flour Bakery. Peckish Pig provided two of their newest craft brews for tasting.

Infant Welfare Society of Evanston would like to thank our sponsors, First Bank & Trust, Cheryl Rohlfs & Associates, Peter & Carolyn Mattox, and Schaefer’s Wines, Foods & Spirits for helping to underwrite the evening, as well as Joseph Leigh Designs for providing the décor.
