Our History

Baby Toddler Nursery is the oldest independently operating infant toddler child care center in the State of Illinois. Our center has been continuously accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 1994. This accreditation is the gold standard of early childhood programs. We were most recently accredited in November, 2018.

Relationship-Based Care

Our program provides excellent quality services to you and your child. We are firmly committed to small group sizes (there are only eight children in each infant and toddler room and 14 in our preschool classroom) and high staff child ratios. For most of the day, we have three teachers in each infant toddler classroom.

We value our diversity. We have children, families and staff from many nations. Between us we speak several languages. Some of our families receive funding from Early Head Start and the State of Illinois, and other families pay the full fee. We also have funding from Preschool for All.

We believe that you will find a safe, highly nurturing, responsive, and engaging program here at Baby Toddler Nursery. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you would like and spend as much time as you need to learn about our program.
